About

Simone Charnley is an international development professional with over twenty years of experience working with low- and middle-income countries. She has worked with local and regional NGOs based in southern Africa and south-east Asia, as well as international NGOs spanning the fields of international development, humanitarian aid, and nature conservation.

At ICARS, Simone focuses on the One Health portfolio (animal, agri-food and environmental projects), supporting co-development and the design of project monitoring and evaluation frameworks. Simone also works with organisational learning and effectiveness through leading and supporting organisational reviews, and the development of ICARS’ strategy.  She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of International and Community Development from Deakin University.
