About
Dr. Sunday Ochai is a veterinarian with experience in the veterinary health sector, One Health domain, and the humanitarian sphere where he worked to build livelihood and resilience in crises regions in Africa. As a Science Officer, he works to support the development and implementation of ICARS projects in LMICs. Sunday holds a Master´s degree of Veterinary Tropical Diseases and is a Mandela Rhodes scholar. Previously, he worked as an academic at the University of Pretoria within the Department of Veterinary Tropical Diseases. He also served as Livestock Officer for Christian Aid UK, Nigeria where he was an implementing officer for the World Food Programme (WFP)/ FADAMA 3 programme and for the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO). He also completed basic, advanced, and applied epidemiology programmes with the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM), Antwerp, Belgium.
