This scoping review, co-authored by ICARS Science Advisor Rodolphe Mader and published in Preventive Veterinary Medicine, examines antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) and infection prevention and control (IPC) interventions across swine, poultry, and aquaculture sectors in nine Asian countries. Using the Behaviour Change Wheel framework, the study identifies education, training, and enablement as the most commonly applied intervention types, with findings pointing to tangible benefits including reduced antimicrobial use, improved IPC practices, and increased productivity and economic returns. The study also produces a comprehensive intervention database to inform future research and support the design of impactful AMS and IPC strategies at national and regional level.
