Originally presented at the World One Health Congress 2026, this poster highlights how the partnership between ICARS and the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) supports field testing and adaptation of late-stage AMR innovations for low- and middle-income countries across human health, animal health and the environment.
Supported innovations include diagnostic tools, insect-based shrimp feed and technology to remove antibiotics from waste streams. Progress ranged from prototypes ready for testing to completed field studies. A pig farm study reported 95% antibiotic removal before wastewater discharge, while shrimp feed studies showed economic benefits.
The poster highlights challenges in obtaining ethical approval, navigating regulatory requirements and bringing innovations to market. It emphasises the need for partnerships, investment and implementation research to generate evidence and adapt AMR innovations to different settings.
